Olympia Splendid is one of the top typewriter series ever produced. This typewriter was engineered to outlive and outperform many other portable models! Olympia boasts of it's precisely engineered mechanics and the practical design of their typewriter models. This Olympia Splendid 66 has a beautiful red body, cuppy keys with soft lines on the outside and precise German mechanics on the inside.
*TYPEFACE: 11cpi typeface. The keyboard is German-English QWERTZ layout with the German umlaut for German speakers, and the "y" for english speakers which has a different position.
*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in superb cosmetic condition. There are no scratches or dents, etc. (high quality detail pictures on request). The chrome plated metal parts look very good. The color is a red with white keys.
*MECHANICS: As with all our serviced typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. It types as smooth as butter and looks amazing! The typewriter has been disassembled, cleaned, polished and adjusted on feet. Bell works like a charm, carriage advances smoothly. It is ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design. All our typewriters are stress-tested for at least 30 minutes and undergo 14-point inspection checklist.
*CASE: The case is in good condition - both the leather, textile and pockets are intact. Some stitching is lost but does not affect the functionality.
